MAN TGX D15 engine in Euro 6

The innovative MAN D15 engine reduces fuel consumption and shoulders higher loads thanks to its lighter engine weight. The modern common rail injection system and the integrated high-pressure fuel pump, which ensures the fuel is atomised as finely as possible, make the engine more efficient and sustainable. The simplified SCR exhaust aftertreatment system reduces maintenance and repair costs thanks to longer service intervals for the diesel particulate filter – for maximum engine service life to MAN’s familiar quality standards.

MAN TGX D26 engine in Euro 6

More power under the hood with consistently low consumption: The MAN D26 engine has 10 HP more power, 100 Nm more torque and offers 70 kilos of additional payload in comparison to its predecessor. The additional increase in performance enables the use of a “soft AGR” combustion concept, a reduction in engine ancillary power output and a simplified cooling system using direct air-air-charge-air cooling. This means that engine efficiency can be significantly increased, even at high speeds. Technology that impresses, but above all serves you and your business.

MAN TGX D38 engine in Euro 6

Power that pays off: despite its huge engine performance with up to 640 HP, the new MAN D38 engine generation saves approximately 1.9% on fuel. No wonder, then, that the in-line six-cylinder engine with an engine weight of only 1,345 kg counts as one of the lightweight engines in its class. Even demanding routes and the heaviest loads cannot intimidate our powerhouse. The D38 engines reach torques of up to 3,000 Nm from as low as 930 rpm, delivering lion strength that takes you up any slope with ease. Whether on a construction site or a steep mountain pass, with the MAN D38 engines you’re driving up your profits every day.

The chassis of the MAN TGX is a true lightweight and yet strong enough to shoulder some serious weight: your individualised truck bodies and your loads. The optimised weight not only helps you save considerably on fuel costs, thanks to its narrow hole pattern it also makes work easier for body manufacturers.

Bumper

It doesn’t have to look especially great, but it does have to be especially practical. The lamellar structure of our bumpers protects the memorable exterior of our MAN TGX and at the same time cools the vehicle’s technology. For a driving experience without compromise.

Mirror concept

Reflecting our increase in safety: The main and wide-angle mirrors, as well as the large ramp and front mirrors mean there are almost no blind spots and give you the best possible overview of what’s taking place on the roads.

ASSISTANCE SYSTEMS

The assistance systems of the MAN TGX ensure maximum driving comfort, reliability, efficiency and safety.

 

It has never been easier to keep the right distance when driving and to stay in the right lane: Our adaptive cruise control (ACC Stop & Go) always keeps your MAN TGX at the right distance to the vehicle in front of you, even in stop and go traffic.

And on free stretches of road, the active steering system MAN ComfortSteeringguarantees optimum directional stability. If the driver accidentally leaves the lane with your MAN truck, the Lane Guard Support (LGS) immediately issues a warning. Our Lane Return Assist (LRA) system then safely steers the vehicle back into its lane – before anything can happen.

You can always rely on the MAN driver assistance systems – even on the longest of journeys. MAN Attention Guard recognises signs of fatigue and alerts the driver early on. The Emergency Brake Assist (EBA) slows down your MAN TGX to a halt if a crash would otherwise be unavoidable.
