6 IN 1
Three different lengths, all of which can be configured for city or intercity use thanks to the modular design – resulting in six derivatives of the new MAN entry-level model.
Flexible and needs-orientated configuration
The modular design allows for configuration of three versions for intercity and three versions for city use.
Sustainable economy
Low weight combined with MAN EfficientHybrid ensures low fuel consumption, less wear and increased sustainability.
Optimal driving comfort
The ergonomic driver’s workplace and generous passenger area enable relaxed driving.
Up to six variants can be configured from an entry-level model. The MAN Low Entry Bus – tailored to individual customer requirements.
The VIP place: comfortable, functional and well thought-out
There are two configurable variants for the driver’s workplace: the classic one from the MAN Lion’s Intercity and MAN’s own fully VDV-compliant driver’s workplace of the new MAN Lion’s City Generation. With the latter, the lower part can be adjusted together with the steering wheel according to the driver’s wishes. In both variants, the slightly elevated seating position ensures that the driver meets the passenger at eye level and offers excellent all-round visibility.
Instruments, switches and displays at the VDV driver’s workplace are arranged in three zones according to the frequency of use. Thus, the driver’s workplace convinces with high functionality and aesthetics – for the benefit of the driver.
One glance is enough: the fully digital and high-resolution 12-inch driver’s display enables drivers to capture all relevant information effortlessly and in the shortest possible time – thus being able to react quickly. This prevents visual overstimulation and fatigue, which helps to improve driving safety.
The colour display uses clear elements and modern 3D views to provide information on vehicle and engine speed, navigation, media and assistance system messages while displaying warnings and notices. Thanks to smart details, such as the semi-circular scaling of speedometer and rev counter with indicators moving in opposite direction, there is much more space available in the centre of the display for additional information compared to using complete dial instruments with indicators moving in the same direction.
Practical: Depending on preference, the display can be called up intuitively and conveniently via the multifunction steering wheel or the left drop arm (without multifunction steering wheel) and set individually: either in the full screen view for displaying important information such as the bus stop display in large view – or in the home screen view with central main display and alternating displays at the side.
Full control in both hands: With the optional multifunction steering wheel, bus drivers can quickly access all important functions while concentrating on the road traffic – and keeping their hands on the wheel. The steering wheel fits perfectly in the hand and is easy and comfortable to operate. Its multifunction buttons are ergonomically arranged on two separate control isles. A variety of adjustment positions allow the driver’s workplace to be adapted according to the driver’s height and physique.
Passenger area with feel-good factor – individually configurable according to type of use
The interior of the version for intercity use provides space for up to 102 passengers, the three-axle version for up to 115. All MAN Lion’s Intercity LE versions are configurable with modern overhead handrails or optional open/closed luggage racks. The closed version is also available with service sets for light, air and service call. The comfortable seats of the “MAN Intercity Basic” type are available both without and with two- or three-point belts. The modern lighting concept with direct, continuous lighting with warm white LEDs makes the interior particularly inviting.
The interior of the version for city use provides space for up to 107 passengers, the three-axle version for up to 121. Three “City Seats” with different seat surfaces and upholstery are available. The optional “MAN City Comfort” equipment variant is also available with a lap belt. Like the handrails, the seats are attached to the side walls wherever possible. This enables easy floor cleaning. The spacious interior looks particularly inviting thanks to the modern, continuous lighting with direct, warm white light.
The right door systems for every application – city or intercity use
The intercity version is always equipped with an outward-swinging door as standard. Front door single or double-leaf, middle door always double-leaf. Optionally available for all MAN Lion’s Intercity LE are double-leaf electric swinging-sliding doors and inward-swinging doors on door 2 from the MAN modular technology system.
The version for city use has double-leaf inward-swinging doors on front and centre. Only the triple-axle vehicle for city use is equipped with a third door as standard. All MAN Lion’s Intercity LE are optionally available with double-leaf electric swinging-sliding doors and outward-swinging doors from the MAN modular technology system.
