Not everything that is digital is necessarily new. However, what is new is how simple and uncomplicated things are becoming. Proactive maintenance management with MAN ServiceCare results in increased vehicle availability thanks to forward planning and smart bundling of maintenance appointments. The MAN service outlet takes care of vehicle analysis as well as the coordination and management of maintenance appointments. On the RIO platform, you can view the maintenance status, appointments for components to replace, and damage reports of your vehicles.

You will also receive e-mail notifications on upcoming maintenance appointments. The service is continuously expanded in order to make your day-to-day operations even easier and to optimise administrative procedures. The result of this is excellently maintained vehicles, maximum vehicle availability, reduced fuel consumption and streamlined daily business operations.

    This service is available for MAN trucks, for buses from MAN and NEOPLAN, but not for the MAN TGE.

    DIGITAL SERVICES FOR THE LOGISTICS AND COMMERCIAL VEHICLE SECTOR

    On the RIO platform, a range of digital services is bundled for the entire transportation and logistics ecosystem. The platform offers digital services for the commercial vehicle sector from manufacturers and partners as well as in-house technology solutions. It can therefore be used to book MAN DigitalServices designed exclusively for your MAN. As a prerequisite, all vehicles must be equipped with the RIO Box*. This gives you centralised access to a wide range of data relating to your fleet.

    Once you have registered online, you can book, change or add digital services anytime, anywhere. The RIO Box and the basic MAN Essentials service will be automatically activated free of charge when you register your vehicle.     From July 2019 onwards the MAN and NEOPLAN buses and coaches will be equipped with the RIO Box as an optional version and from October on in serial production.*

    System requirements

    In order to use the digital services, your company and your vehicles must be registered on the RIO platform start.rio.cloud. When you register, data transmission via your RIO Box is activated, thereby enabling the free basic MAN Essentials service. You can then book additional digital services from the MAN marketplace free of charge.

     

    Compatibility

    RIO Box: As of 01/08/2017, standard in all Euro 6c MAN Trucks. For the MAN TGE, the RIO Box can be optionally ordered.
    On-board telematics module 21MAN TeleMatics® services will continue to be available in the usual form and via the usual access points until the agreed contract end date. Switch-over to the RIO Platform, either via the Connector MAN Bridge or by retrofitting the RIO Box, as preferred.
